ACCU-CHILL® LXC Bottom Injection System

ACCU-CHILL® LXC cryogenic bottom injection cooling.

The ACCU-CHILL® LXC cryogen bottom-injection system is a complete application of various interdependent components and provides rapid, precise temperature reduction during batch mixing or blending.

At the heart of the system is the patent-pending valve-nozzle assembly. This component is an all stainless-steel, inline valve for cryogenic service. The nozzle automatically closes after injection - creating a smooth surface along the inside blender wall and minimizing the risk of particles getting trapped in the nozzle opening. The entire assembly is pneumatically actuated, compact, robust, and requires the smallest of vessel penetrations.

Cryogen conditioning plays a vital role in the performance and consistency of the LXC system. Linde conditions the cryogen as part of the system to minimize multiple batch temperature checks and additional cooling steps to reduce batch mixing times.

Perhaps the most important component of the ACCU-CHILL® LXC system is the overall system design. From the storage vessel through the delivery pipeline into the mixer and out the exhaust, the entire system is carefully sized to work consistently from batch to batch.
